Self-Care + Compassion: Yoga and Mindfulness Day Retreat

We spend so much of our lives doing, working, taking care of others...but how often do we stop to take care of ourselves? For most of us the answer is NOT ENOUGH. So start THIS SUMMER. Throughout this day retreat, we will explore the power of self-care (exploring ways to to care for yourself on a regular basis) and self-compassion (directing love and kindness towards oneself). Mindfulness, meditation, nature, and yoga open the gates to AND are essential aspects of both self-care and self-compassion.

With limited time to juggle various roles, it can feel near impossible to physically find the time and ways to care for ourselves. And with over-thinking and self-critical minds, it can feel very uncomfortable to emotionally direct compassion and kindness towards ourselves. Caring for ourselves can feel selfish yet we too often forget the most important piece of this: we MUST care for ourselves in ORDER to care for others. You can't pour from an empty cup, and you can't nourish others from a place of depletion

My intention for this day retreat is that you walk away totally refreshed, relaxed, transformed, and inspired with a deeper understanding of and commitment to self-care and compassion. A day to focus on bettering YOU. By offering both a 'creating your own' meditation workshop and yoga workshop, I will teach you the tools necessary to create your own meditation and yoga practice at home (whether you prefer gentle and slow flow or fiery and challenging) - practices you can do ANYWHERE for ANY LENGTH OF TIME. Two self-practices that will simply change your life.
