Self-Care + Compassion: Yoga and Mindfulness Day Retreat

We spend so much of our lives doing, working, taking care of others...but how often do we stop to take care of ourselves? For most of us the answer is NOT ENOUGH. So start THIS SUMMER. Throughout this day retreat, we will explore the power of self-care (exploring ways to to care for yourself on a regular basis) and self-compassion (directing love and kindness towards oneself). Mindfulness, meditation, nature, and yoga open the gates to AND are essential aspects of both self-care and self-compassion.

With limited time to juggle various roles, it can feel near impossible to physically find the time and ways to care for ourselves. And with over-thinking and self-critical minds, it can feel very uncomfortable to emotionally direct compassion and kindness towards ourselves. Caring for ourselves can feel selfish yet we too often forget the most important piece of this: we MUST care for ourselves in ORDER to care for others. You can't pour from an empty cup, and you can't nourish others from a place of depletion

My intention for this day retreat is that you walk away totally refreshed, relaxed, transformed, and inspired with a deeper understanding of and commitment to self-care and compassion. A day to focus on bettering YOU. By offering both a 'creating your own' meditation workshop and yoga workshop, I will teach you the tools necessary to create your own meditation and yoga practice at home (whether you prefer gentle and slow flow or fiery and challenging) - practices you can do ANYWHERE for ANY LENGTH OF TIME. Two self-practices that will simply change your life.

LOCATION

This retreat will take place in the heart of scenic Leelanau county. The house is located on one of the most peaceful lakes in Leelanau, Little Traverse Lake. The water is warm, clear, and uncrowded, perfect for morning SUP yoga, and on the water meditation. The lawn is lush, and perfect for sunbathing or conversing around the bonfire and staring at the stars. Directly across the street from the home is Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. Just a short walk down the road and through the woods will land you at one of the most private beaches in all of Leelanau County on Good Harbor Bay.

Those who attend the retreat can choose between having a private room to themselves, sharing a private room and bed with a friend, or having a twin bed in a shared room.

VILLA PINE: 

The luxurious Villa Pine lays in one of the most spectacular homes located right on the water in Naples/Florida, walking distance to Vanderbilt Beach.  The Villa is incredibly spacious with a beautiful pool and hot tub right on the water- a truly upscale, magical villa to allow for complete comfort and relaxation during our retreat.   

Accommodations:

  •  Master Suite for 3-4 guests (one King size bed, one Queen, two separate rooms) attached to an elegant Master Bath with a steam bath and jet tub, as well as direct access to the pool through a private balcony = $975/ person (group of 4) // $1030/ person (group of 3) 
  • Queen Suite 1 with Bay View balcony and private bathroom = $1250 single occupancy // $950 per person shared double occupancy
  • Queen Suite 2 with Bay View balcony and private bathroom = = $1250 single // $950 per person shared double occupancy
  • Queen Suite 3 with shared balcony access (east view) and private bath = $1175 single // $875 per person shared double occupancy
  • Queen Suite 4 with shared balcony access (east view) and Private Bath (shared shower w/ Simple Stay guests) = $1150 single // $850 per person shared double occupancy
  • Simple Stay = 2 lovely mattresses set up in a spare room, private 1/2 bath, shared shower with Queen Suite 4 = $725 per guest (two available)

TRANSPORTATION:

Fly or drive to Naples! Flights are into Fort Myers Airport (RSW) and we will provide pick up services at different times from this airport ONLY (airport is about 20 min from the Villa). Feel free to rent a car if you'd like, we will have at least one car to share, and beach is walking distance away. Check in time is 4p on Thursday evening and check out is 10a Monday morning. My mom has a house in Naples (5 minutes away from Villa) that you can check into if you arrive early Thursday/depart later Monday- you can relax here until Villa check in, or drop your things here and head to the beach/explore the area.
